Operation Director at an International Insurance Company in Yangon

  • Responsible for developing and implementing the insurance business operations and providing the leadership to all functional units within the Operations Department

About the Company

Our client is an international insurance company which is mainly providing the best and extensive insurance products to the customers in various countries around the world.

Description

  • Implement operation strategies and business plans to build business operations for various distribution channels nationwide, including agency, bancassurance and partnership channels

  • Oversees the daily operations of underwriting, policy servicing, claims and customer services, to ensure the departmental goals, budgets and KPIs are achieved

  • Measure the effectiveness and efficiency of operational processes, both internally and externally, and finds ways to optimize the processes

  • Coordinate with the Business Transformation Task Force, and lead on behalf of the COO, to deliver the agreed business transformation, continuous improvement, customer care and other initiatives

  • Perform other ad-hoc tasks as may be assigned by the COO from time to time

Requirements

  • At least 10 to 15 years of solid working experience in Insurance Operation functions at Insurance company around the world

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Insurance, Medicine, Actuarial Science, Computer Science, or related fields. Some professional life insurance related qualifications are preferred.

  • Extensive knowledge of life insurance operations, especially technical aspects of life and health insurance underwriting as well as claims.

  • Must have a demonstrate strong analytical, knowledgeable of international life insurance principles and practices

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office computer programs including Excel and Word
