On 13th October 2021, MyWorld Careers turned six. It has been an amazing journey in Myanmar with a lot of excitement, experiences, hardships and winnings together with the team.
This year has been a year of many changes and challenges for all, with ongoing COVID waves and an unstable political situation which greatly impacted the lives of the Myanmar people. Encountering the pandemic and political crisis at the same time, a lot of support is needed in the community everyday. Factories stopped working, most companies put on hold their operations and some corporates even withdrew from the country, as a result thousands of people lost their jobs and have been placed in dire need of help just to feed their families.
Nothing is more heartbreaking than witnessing this situation, after being in the country for six years working for the Myanmar people. Instead of throwing a party just to celebrate our anniversary, this year we decided to be supporters of our community by making a donation to Thukha Yeikmyone (Happy Haven Humanitarian Project) which is taking care of more than a hundred children and currently in need of funding. We donated 1,000,000 MMK plus clothes, toys and books to them, hoping that our small contribution would make their everyday a little easier.
Not just for the anniversary celebration, MyWorld has long been a sponsor of community events and in giving to charities especially related to children and the youth every quarter. Our strong belief is that children are the future of our country and they require support from all of us. Therefore we will continue to give a helping hand and be committed to the development of children and the youth of Myanmar.
We have had a challenging and meaningful time throughout our 6 year journey. And we look forward to embracing new challenges and achievements by staying strong together with the people of the country and continuing to support their careers and development.
