Account Executive at a Successful Logistics Service Company in Yangon

  • To ensure the company receives payments for services and records these transactions accordingly include securing revenue by verifying and resolving any discrepancies.

The Role

Responsible for managing the accounts receivable processes and ensuring timely and accurate collection of outstanding invoices. A crucial part in maintaining healthy financial relationships with our clients and contributing to the company's financial stability.

About the Company

A well-established the company has been operating in Myanmar since 1998. It functions as a versatile container terminal, conducting port operations at Thilawa. The headquartered is based in Hong Kong, specializing in port-related services.

Description

  • Oversee the management of the company's accounts receivable function, which includes responsibilities such as invoicing, debt collection, cash application, and the supervision of the AR team.

  • Ensure the accurate and timely processing of customer invoices and payments, maintaining a strong focus on precision.

  • Vigilantly monitor customer accounts for outstanding balances and diligently follow up with customers to secure prompt payments.

  • Engage in collaborative efforts with the Sales, Marketing teams, and Shipping Lines to efficiently address customer payment issues and disputes.

  • Provide valuable support for month-end accounts closing procedures.

  • Efficiently coordinate with both internal and external auditors to facilitate audits as required.

  • Effectively manage Commercial Tax Payment and Return processes.

  • On a monthly basis, submit reports to the Myanmar Port Authority (MPA) and submit reports to the Myanmar Investment Commission (MIC).

Requirements

  • Holding B. Com or CPA or ACCA (Part 3) is preferable.

  • At least 5 years of experience in accounts receivable or a related field (Preferable in Foreign Company)

  • Strong knowledge of accounts receivable principles and practices

  • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Good customer service and good command in English
