As a member of Executive Management Team Member, the COO shares the overall responsibility of securing the functionally of business to drive extensive and sustainable growth

Description

  • To provide leadership, guidance, and technical assistance to the operations team, not limited to but including operational, product development, collections, target management, employee training

  • To establish linkages and utilize effectively functions supporting the operations of the institution, financial planning, analysis etc

  • To be responsible for the operational reporting and operational forecasting/planning for the financial products and services

  • Evaluate operational performance for branch offices and implement strategic interventions to help low-performing branch offices

  • Ensure social goals and indicators into business planning and strategic implementation to reach those goals

  • Supervise the regional managers, branch managers, and provide them with adequate support to make sure that collections are always on time and that quality of the portfolio remains excellent

  • Analyze the human resources and developing plans for capacity building

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years managerial level employment experience in the development finance sector

  • Exceptional integrity, communication, leadership, team building, and interpersonal skills

  • Strong financial skills pertaining to the development finance sector

  • Fluent in English, working knowledge of government officials would be a plus

  • Good computing skills and analytical skills and up-to-date with technological development in the development finance sector

  • Ability to work under pressure, timelines and in a challenging environment
