Country Security Officer (CML) at an International Consumer Goods Manufacturing Company in Yangon
Responsible for the delivery of the security procedures the market requires, ensuring the security and safety of the employees, protecting the assets, and achieving maximum business enablement in difficult and high-risk environments

The Role
The ideal background for the role is to have strong hands-on experience in safety and security functions, risk assessment, protection procedures, and threat analysis. Good experience in stakeholder management, presentation, and leadership capabilities. Based on the capabilities of the individual, the role may need to look after other countries such as Cambodia and Laos in addition to Myanmar which will be the primary market to emphasize

Description
Reporting to the Cluster Security Director, the CSO will lead the security function in their relevant market
Responsible for the delivery of the security procedures the market requires, the role is to ensure the people and assets are protected
Tasked with the development of the market security plan, which will assess threats, risks, and resources
Coordinate security and incident training for LSOs in the regions. To deliver the market security plan, the CSO will work closely with local security officers. A high level of assurance is required to ensure that security activities and procedures match the local level of risk, whilst being compliant with group standards
Work with the market-level leadership team to analyze security threats and risks to our people and business. Implement security mitigation plans and establish relevant countermeasures. Escalating higher-level risks are required
Work with travel teams to communicate security advice to travelers operating in higher-level risk countries & cities
Work with business leaders to develop incident management plans and support country-level implementation of incident management
Ensure the security framework is applied effectively at the market and country level
Prepare reports including country security incident reporting, intelligence briefing, threat assessments, and investigative reports
Utilize an active regional security network to share security information, trends, and evolving operational practices. Participate in industry forums and understand emerging security technologies
Requirements
Degree educated with nationality-recognized security diploma/ previous law enforcement/ public sector experience
Minimum 6 – 10 years of working experience in the corporate security industry and international environment
Strong proficiency in English and excellent communication skills
Experience in corporate security roles, leadership roles, and proficiency in Microsoft Suites, developing and delivering training
Able to travel based on business needs
