Responsible for the successful conclusion of the DRE projects by providing leadership, strategically managing risk, monitoring finances, and making sure that each phase of the project sales ends on schedule

This is the ideal role for an individual who has a minimum of 7 years of energy project development experience with a focus on renewables, preferably with international/local organizations/private companies

Description
Responsible for the successful conclusion of the project by providing leadership, strategically managing risk, monitoring finances, and making sure that each phase of the project starts and ends on schedule
A clear understanding of the local DRE project development processes and challenges of the local market context and help design the company on a viable DRE project development portfolio and build towards a scalable and sustainable long-term business model
Leading the project development team made up of technical leads and development professionals that are responsible for the development of the organization’s DRE portfolio, which includes rural energy access, last mile connections, and value chain commercial and industrial (C&I) rooftop solar and combining the strategic deployment of blended finance tools i.e., guaranteed funds
Working directly with the leadership team as well as other employees at all levels to ensure they are well prepared and understand the project development processes and skills necessary to maintain scalable development and the management of the development portfolio
Building the necessary external partnerships and relationships, especially with project owners, developers, the international and local development institutions, will drive the innovative development strategy toward the future
Requirements
Minimum 7 years of energy project development experience with a focus on renewables, preferably with international/local organizations/private companies
A strong practical understanding of the social and business environment in Myanmar through direct work experience within the country
Fluency in written and spoken Myanmar & English, proven track record working with diverse, multicultural, and multi-disciplinary settings
Has an entrepreneurial approach to getting things done. Is a doer and has a bias for action. Ideally has experience in setting/building up new teams
Strong team management skills: the ability to motivate a team of employees around organizational goals
