Deputy Head of Operations (Expat) at an International Life Insurance Company in Yangon
Responsible for supporting in the developing, implementing and sustaining the life insurance operations of the organization
Up to $5,000 plus accommodation and transportation allowances

Description
Implement operation strategies and business plans to build business operations for various distribution channels nationwide, including agency, bancassurance and partnership channels
Oversees the daily Operations of underwriting, policy servicing, claims and customer services, to ensure the departmental goals, budgets and KPIs are achieved
Measure the effectiveness and efficiency of operational processes, both internally and externally, and finds ways to optimize the processes
Develop the Operation team to achieve consistently high performance throughout the year and to become professionally qualified
Perform other ad-hoc tasks as may be assigned by the Head of Operations from time to time
Requirements
At least 5 to 10 years of solid working experience in Life Insurance Operation functions at Life Insurance Company around the world
A bachelor’s degree in business, Management, Insurance, Medicine, Actuarial Science, Computer Science, or other related fields. Some professional life insurance related qualifications are preferred
Professional qualifications in underwriting and claims, such as Fellow of the Academy of Life Underwriting (FALU), Fellow Life and Health Claims (FLHC) and Disability Management Unit (DMU)
Additional life and health insurance related qualifications, such as Fellow Life Management Institute (FLMI) and Associateship of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII) would be an advantage
Extensive knowledge of life insurance operations, especially technical aspects of life and health insurance underwriting as well as claims management
Must have a demonstrate strong analytical, knowledgeable of international life insurance principles and practices
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office computer programs including Excel and Word
Preferable candidates who can consider for the relocation in Myanmar
