The Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Officer will be responsible for developing and overseeing environmental, social, and corporate governance policies and procedures

Responsibilities
Articulate an ESG strategy that is directly tied to the company' strategies and goals
Coordinating the environment and social initiatives and the compliance with law and regulatory, shareholders’ requirements of operating locations
Conduct ESG inspection and audit to assess gaps against the company’s ESG requirements/policies and identify opportunities for value addition
Conduct ESG due diligence including sanction and suppliers’ screening, KYC check and screening
Regularly monitor the company’s compliance with the company/shareholder’s ESG requirements and policies, including implementing agreed action plans and/or attending ESG sub-committees of boards (as required)
Improving the ESG management systems, policies, and procedures, including the implementation of ESG action plans (where relevant)
Work on ad hoc projects
For instance, external communications on ESG, such as quarterly/annual ESG reports, accident reports to the ESG committee and shareholders, case studies highlighting ESG value addition
Prepare necessary and required reporting to the ESG Committee and other stakeholders as per the Shareholders’ agreement
Coordinating and working with the HR teams and other department heads across the company
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree graduate preferably in Environmental Science, Engineering, or any equivalent
Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in corporate
Knowledge and experience in global environmental standards and frameworks will be a plus such as IFC Performance Standards, UN Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs), Global Reporting Standards (GRI), and others
Experience designing or redesigning an ESG training program
Efficient in the use of the word, PowerPoint, and excel
Good training & communication skills
Excellent command of verbal and written English language
Fluency in verbal and written Myanmar language
