The Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced General Manager to lead their Heavy Machinery Distribution division in Yangon. As the General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the business, driving growth and profitability, and ensuring that the company continues to be at the forefront of the industry

Our client is a dynamic industry leader in Myanmar's heavy machinery distribution sector, specializing in heavy machinery units, spare parts, construction equipment, electronics, and more. With a strong track record of success, they are dedicated to transforming industries and empowering growth


  • Lead and oversee the entire operation of the Heavy Machinery Distribution division, ensuring efficient and effective operations, performance, and growth

  • Develop and execute comprehensive B2B sales strategies to expand the client base, increase revenue, and maintain strong customer relationships

  • Manage the tendering process, ensuring successful bid submissions and contract negotiations to secure high-value projects and contracts

  • Build and lead a high-performance team, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to drive success

  • Assume accountability for the Profit & Loss of the Sales and Commercial teams, implementing cost-effective measures to achieve and exceed revenue targets

  • Develop and implement product marketing strategies to promote heavy machinery units, spare parts, and other offerings, enhancing brand visibility and driving demand


  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, or a related field. MBA preferred

  • Minimum of 8 years of proven experience in the heavy machinery distribution industry, with a strong track record of leadership and achieving business targets

  • Mandatory Intermediate English speaker

  • Exceptional knowledge of the heavy machinery market, strong interpersonal skills, and an entrepreneurial mindset
