The Role
Interact with local, state, and federal legislative bodies and government agencies to represent and protect the organizations business plans and interests

Description
Build coalitions and expand relationships with key decision-makers, policymakers, and federal, state, and local elected officials
Meet with elected officials and their staff to advocate their organization's position on important issues, develop policy initiatives, provide feedback about potential new laws and regulations, and discuss issues facing the industry
Lead the Company Government Affairs team and develop, lead, and execute legislative strategy for the corporation
Maintain compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Political Science, Public Relations, or related field required; MBA or law degree preferred
Minimum five to seven years of federal and/or state legislative, regulatory, lobbying, or political experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
Strong government contacts at local, state, and federal levels
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
