Government Relations Officer at a Successful Real Estate Development Company in Yangon

  • Plans the processes of the interaction with the government entities to ensure the timely and accurate execution of all government relations transactions/activities

The Role

Responsible to plan the processes of the interaction with the government entities to ensure the timely and accurate execution of all government relations activities

Description

  • Interact with the government on various levels, such as acquiring permits for a company, lobbying for legislation, or providing information to legislators on specific topics

  • Provide advocacy on various topics, help direct company policy towards state and local governments, ensure lines of communication are available to the public, and address concerns from citizens

  • Organize employee services like visa procurement, issue or renewal of passports, amendment of details on passport to save employees time and cost to the company.

  • Ensure on-going compliance with all specific government regulations relevant to government relations activities

  • Represent the organization at official functions and any membership organization meetings as required

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in government relations

  • Bachelor’s degree in international development/Relations, Public Policy, Government relations, Business, or related field; advanced degree a plus.

  • Excellent English communication skills

  • Knowledge of government laws and regulations

  • Exceptional multi-tasking, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
