Head of Energy at a Newly Set up Solar Energy Service Provider Company in Yangon
Responsible to set up and develop solar energy business in Myanmar
The Role
This is an ideal role for an individual who has extensive experience in managing solar energy businesses or renewable energy businesses. Experience with organizational setup, understanding the regulation of the solar energy market and business opportunities from both mass-market distribution model and private sales channel

Our client is one of the largest local conglomerates in Myanmar with diverse businesses such as Agricultural Machinery, Crop Protection, Industrial Materials, Micro Finance, and Consumer Electronic settings and now they have started diversifying into the solar energy business
Description
Define and own a development strategy to develop the group’s vision for the solar energy business. Develop a completely new team to scale up the group’s vision and strategy in Solar Energy Business
Originate and develop a well-articulated business development plan in all segments of solar energy from residential, and small business to a large-scale off-grid – on-grid hybrid technology
Develop, lead, and manage the strong internal team with the responsibility of sales, technical, performance assurance, and aftersales for the solar business of the group
Effectively and regularly communicates with corporate leadership, including managers, supervisors, salespeople, engineers, and project managers
Establish and drives internal processes on solar business and environment of continuous improvement
Work closely with other subsidiaries' business unit heads to generate the leads, and references and leverage the ecosystem of the group to drive solar energy business
Manages all engineering, estimating, project management, commissioning, and measurement/verification functions on all solar businesses within the company
Assists the project teams with preliminary project budgets, energy savings calculations, and financial analyses on solar projects
Monitors and tracks performance data on installed solar projects to ensure customer expectations are met
Develop strategic partnerships (Real Estate Developers, Funds, External Installers) to scale the solution
Develop a strong understanding of the renewable industry, power markets, and developments for your scope
Develop for each market a regulatory pack to explain to corporates the market functioning and developments
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in engineering/Economics/Business or related field: MBA is a plus
More than 5 years of experience in similar management capacities and regional roles with proven leadership and management experience and a successful track record and expertise in international business transactions and project development
Relevant experience in the energy sector, exposure to group client solutions, and power business will be preferred
Possess a strong entrepreneurial spirit with value creation in different business segments and bring collaboration between teams
Speak Excellent English
Strong leadership, people management including coaching & mentoring, and work as a team player
