Job Description

Head of Marketing - Ethical at Global Generic Pharma Manufacturing and Distribution company in Myanmar

  • Responsible for marketing strategies across therapies across brands

  • Up to 11,000,000 MMK

The Role

The ideal background for the role includes strong experience leading ethical pharma product marketing portfolios on a nationwide scale, at least several years of handling marketing manager roles, or a similar functional head role in a large international organization

One of the global largest generic pharmaceutical manufacturing and distribution companies with a strong presence in the Myanmar market with active pharma ingredients in more than 100 countries across the globe

Description

  • Understanding and contribution to annual therapy/brand plan for assigned markets

  • Preparation of promotional input utilization plan, and visit-wise plan along with detailing stories (every quarter)

  • Report on implementation status (plan vs actual) every month

  • Maintaining of inputs ledger date-wise & inventory management (receipt, distribution, balance status)

  • Ensure dispatch of inputs as the plan & timely execution of strategies by field force

  • Follow up on activities, gifts & other key high investments planned for the quarter

  • Organize local DGMS, CME, ERDS, etc. as per the annual calendar

  • Market data – IMS, Close up, Tertiary

  • Sales analysis, territory, brand, competitors & feedback to be presented to team & HO every month

  • Competitor analysis and activities feedback

  • Expenditure monitoring and control of budgets planned for the year for promotional activities every quarter

  • Identification of future products of interest in segments of interest every 6 months

  • Market research to ensure successful new product launches

  • Benchmarking our company vs. key competitors

Requirements

  • Have an M.B.B.S. or doctorate or similar

  • MBA or Ph.D would be added advantages

  • Minimum 12 – 15 years of working experience in ethical pharmaceutical space with at least experience in handling marketing manager, senior marketing, or head of marketing posts

  • Strong experience in leading a team

  • Strong communicator in both written and spoken English
