Principal at one of the International Schools in Yangon, Myanmar

  • Oversee the entire daily operation of the school, including educational programs and staff supervision

The Role

This role requires to serve as the instructional leader, responsible for the administration and supervision of all instructional programs from early childhood through various grade levels

Description

  • Responsible for the overall achievement, welfare, and conduct of students, ensuring a healthy and supportive learning environment

  • Recruit, evaluate, and lead faculty and staff, providing professional development and fostering instructional improvement

  • Act as a spokesperson for the school, maintaining open communication with students, parents, staff, and the wider community. Promote strong parental and community involvement

  • Guide the Admissions department and marketing activities to engage students and parents, supporting school growth and reputation building

  • Requires comprehensive knowledge of relevant curricula and the ability to implement current educational trends and standards-based assessments

  • Oversee proper utilization and management of school facilities and resources

Requirements

  • A Master’s Degree in education, administration, or related fields is preferred

  • At least 7 years of relevant teaching and leadership experience in schools, preferably in international school settings

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills

  • Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions

  • Experience with curriculum development, staff supervision, and instructional leadership

  • Ability to foster a positive school culture and promote student-centered learning

  • Fluency in written and spoken English is essential
