Tax Manager at a Successful Financial Service Company in Yangon
Need to involve in a range of cross-border tax services that include preparation of tax memos, permanent establishment risk analysis, holding company restructuring, tax treaty monitoring, business tax services and support client needs in Myanmar and any international tax-related support services

Responsibilities
Performing tax due diligence, tax health check and tax advisory projects
Driving complex cross border planning and structuring projects for global MNCs
Reviewing and identifying tax issues with respect to target group entities in M&A transactions
Assisting Partners on project development, and client pursuit initiatives
Working in a dynamic, international environment and be closely connected with EY offices around the globe
Broaden your internal and external networks and tax technical knowledge by managing multi-jurisdictional projects
Interacting directly with clients handling questions, issues, etc.
Keeping abreast with current Myanmar tax practices, tax laws, regulations, and changes in tax law
Liaising with tax officers and other relevant authorities from Ministries and Myanmar Internal Revenue Department on behalf of the clients
Coaching the team members of the tax advisory team
Reviewing the translation of updated tax laws/notifications
Providing tax advice and tax due diligence services for many of the world's largest multinational corporations
Identifying and quantifying any tax risks associated with the target the clients are looking to acquire
Identifying post acquisition tax demands by having a deep understanding of relevant legislation
Managing client and target company relationships effectively
Strong managerial, organizational, project management and analytical skills
Requirements
A degree, preferably in accounting, finance; an ACCA Affiliate, or CPA or similar certification
At least 5 years of relevant experience, with exposure to both tax compliance and tax advisory (Big 4 experience is a plus)
Prior experience and working knowledge/familiar with Myanmar taxation
Good verbal/written communication skills in both Myanmar and English
Strong knowledge of an accounting standards and terminology
Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
