Assistant Audit Manager at a Leading Manufacturing Company in Yangon, Myanmar.

• Lead audit activities, assess internal controls, and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures
• Salary is up to 2,500,000 MMK and other allowances 

The Role

Support and manage internal audit activities, oversee audit planning and execution, evaluate internal controls, and identify operational and financial risks. Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and applicable regulations while providing recommendations to improve business processes and operational efficiency.

Description

• Plan and conduct internal audits of financial records, operational processes, and business activities
• Review accounting transactions, financial statements, and supporting documents for accuracy and compliance
• Evaluate internal controls, identify potential risks, and recommend improvements
• Monitor compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable regulations
• Prepare audit reports highlighting findings, risks, and recommendations
• Follow up on audit findings and ensure corrective actions are implemented
• Coordinate with Finance, Accounting, and other departments during audit activities
• Support the preparation of audit schedules and documentation for external audits
• Identify opportunities to improve internal processes and strengthen risk management
• Assist the Audit Manager in supervising audit activities and guiding junior audit team members

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, or an equivalent certification are an advantage
• Minimum 4 to 5 years of relevant audit or accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of auditing procedures, internal controls, and risk assessment
• Good understanding of accounting standards and applicable regulations
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Experience in the manufacturing industry is an advantage
• Good command of written and spoken Burmese
