The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced commercial professional to take ownership of the full contract lifecycle across large-scale infrastructure developments. The role will be responsible for managing complex commercial agreements, mitigating contractual risks, driving compliance, and supporting the successful delivery of high-value projects.
The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership, investors, contractors, government stakeholders, and development partners to ensure projects are executed efficiently, commercially, and in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Description
- Lead the preparation, review, negotiation, and administration of complex commercial and contractual agreements.
- Manage contracts throughout the entire project lifecycle from project development through execution and completion.
- Identify, evaluate, and mitigate commercial, contractual, legal, and operational risks.
- Lead claims management, contract amendments, change orders, and dispute resolution processes.
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations, budgets, timelines, and project deliverables.
- Ensure contractual compliance with local regulations, industry standards, safety requirements, and environmental guidelines.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and commercial frameworks to improve contract governance and operational efficiency.
- Support strategic negotiations with contractors, partners, investors, consultants, and government stakeholders.
- Facilitate contract clarification meetings and resolve commercial issues to minimize project disruption.
- Provide commercial advice and recommendations to senior management regarding project performance and commercial exposure.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, Law, Engineering, Business Administration, Project Finance, Contract Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in contract management and commercial leadership within major infrastructure or engineering projects.
- Strong experience in energy, power, ports, industrial developments, transportation infrastructure, or large-scale construction projects.
- Extensive knowledge of international contract frameworks, including FIDIC contracts.
- Solid understanding of commercial risk management claims management, and dispute resolution.
- Strong knowledge of project delivery, procurement, contract administration, and stakeholder engagement.
- Proven ability to negotiate complex commercial agreements and manage high-value contracts.
- Excellent analytical, communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Fluency in English is essential, while Burmese language capability will be considered an advantage.
