The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced power sector professional to lead project development activities for major energy infrastructure initiatives. The role will focus on evaluating project feasibility, developing financial and technical business cases, managing stakeholder relationships, and supporting the successful transition of projects from concept stage to investment-ready execution
The successful candidate will act as a key bridge between technical engineering teams, investors, consultants, regulators, and project stakeholders while ensuring projects are commercially viable, technically sound, and compliant with applicable environmental and regulatory requirements

Description
- Lead the development and evaluation of power generation projects across hydro, thermal, and renewable energy sectors
- Collaborate with engineering consultants and technical teams to assess plant configurations, technology selection, and project design requirements
- Manage the preparation of comprehensive techno-economic feasibility studies
- Develop and review CAPEX, OPEX, project economics, and Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE) assessments
- Build and evaluate financial models to assess project viability, returns, and risk exposure
- Identify and mitigate technical, commercial, environmental, and regulatory risks
- Coordinate Environmental and Social Impact Assessments and ensure compliance with international standards
- Lead discussions with regulators, investors, project partners, and industry stakeholders
- Support commercial negotiations, power purchase agreements, and investment discussions
- Prepare feasibility reports, technical documentation, investment proposals, and tender documentation
- Provide strategic recommendations to senior management regarding project development opportunities and investment decisions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Energy Economics, Project Finance, or a related discipline
- Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience in power project development, energy consulting, infrastructure development, or related sectors
- Proven experience in feasibility studies, project evaluation, and large-scale energy infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of power plant technologies, energy economics, and energy market dynamics
- Experience in financial modeling, project finance, economic evaluation, and investment analysis
- Familiarity with Power Purchase Agreements (PPA), EPC contracts, and project development frameworks
- Knowledge of environmental and social compliance standards for infrastructure projects
- Strong analytical, negotiation, stakeholder management, and project leadership capabilities
- Excellent report writing, presentation, and communication skills in English
- Experience engaging with government agencies, investors, development institutions, and international partners will be highly preferred
