Director, Corporate Strategy & Executive Office at a Leading Information Technology & Telecommunication Industry in Yangon

  • Responsible for driving strategic initiatives, executive coordination, governance excellence, and cross-functional execution to support business transformation and organizational performance.

The Role

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced business leader to work closely with executive leadership and support the successful execution of strategic priorities across the organization. The role will focus on strengthening operational discipline, improving organizational alignment, enhancing executive decision-making, and ensuring effective follow-through on key business initiatives.

The successful candidate will serve as a trusted strategic partner, ensuring visibility across the business, coordinating complex cross-functional projects, tracking performance commitments, and providing leadership with accurate and actionable insights for decision-making.

Description

  • Prepare executive-level reports, briefing materials, and decision-support documents for senior leadership.
  • Coordinate strategic initiatives and ensure alignment across multiple departments and stakeholders.
  • Monitor organizational priorities, key projects, and transformation workstreams to ensure timely execution.
  • Maintain action trackers, issue registers, and progress reporting mechanisms for critical business initiatives.
  • Facilitate executive meetings, leadership reviews, and cross-functional coordination activities.
  • Track organizational performance indicators and support leadership with business insights and recommendations.
  • Identify execution gaps, operational bottlenecks, and areas requiring escalation or intervention.
  • Collaborate with leadership teams to improve accountability, governance, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Support strategic projects related to business transformation, performance improvement, and operational excellence.
  • Ensure confidentiality and professional handling of highly sensitive business information and executive matters.
  • Drive communication and coordination between business functions to strengthen organizational execution and follow-through.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience in corporate strategy, management consulting, executive office, transformation, PMO, business operations, or related leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated experience working directly with executive leadership teams, Boards, or senior stakeholders.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to translate complex information into actionable recommendations.
  • Proven experience managing enterprise-wide projects and influencing stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and executive report-writing skills.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion when handling confidential matters.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving business environment.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.

Preferred Background

  • Experience within telecommunications, infrastructure, technology, financial services, consulting, or other regulated industries.
  • Exposure to business transformation, performance management, corporate governance, or executive office functions.
  • Experience supporting Boards, shareholders, executive committees, or C-suite leaders.
  • Familiarity with KPI management, executive dashboards, and strategic performance frameworks.
