Chinese Translator at an Automotive Company in Yangon, Myanmar

• Translate written documents, technical manuals, and verbal communications between Chinese and Myanmar (and possibly English) to support automotive assembly and business operations

• Up to 2,000,000 MMK plus attractive bonus

The Role

This role requires to provide real-time interpretation during meetings, discussions, and site visits to ensure clear communication between Chinese-speaking managers, engineers, and local staff

Description

• Assist with data entry, document control, and preparation of bilingual reports and presentations related to automotive manufacturing and assembly processes

• Communicate supervisor instructions, appointments, and technical information to line leaders and workers

• Support cross-functional teams by translating procurement documents, contracts, and technical specifications as required

• Ensure translations are accurate, culturally appropriate, and meet the needs of internal teams and external partners

• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive company information and documents

• Coordinate with various departments and participate in projects requiring translation or interpretation services

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Chinese language, or related fields)

• Certification in translation/interpretation is a plus

• Proficiency in spoken and written Mandarin Chinese and Myanmar; English proficiency is an advantage

• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, email, typing in Chinese, Myanmar, and English)

• Prior experience in translation/interpretation, preferably in manufacturing, automotive, or technical environments

• Understanding of technical and business terminology relevant to the automotive industry

• Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills

• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines

• Flexibility and willingness to visit factory sites or travel as needed
