• Oversee the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance, and effective team management

• Up to 1,800,000 MMK plus other allowances

This role Leading and supervising the accounting team’s daily operations and activities, including delegation of tasks and performance management

Description

• Preparing, reviewing, and approving financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and budget reports

• Managing full set of account, month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting

• Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS) and regulatory requirements

• Developing and implementing accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to improve accuracy and efficiency

• Coordinating with auditors, tax advisors, and other external/internal stakeholders for audits and financial reviews

• Supporting training, onboarding, and performance evaluation of accounting staff

• Liaising closely with other departments such as Treasury, Tax, and Controlling to ensure cohesive financial management

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field is typically required

• Professional certifications such as ACCA or equivalent are preferred

• 5 years of relevant accounting experience with proven leadership or supervisory experience.

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards such as IFRS, depending on the organization’s requirements

• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and advanced Excel skills

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to manage team dynamics and interact with stakeholders effectively

• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in financial data processing and reporting
