Our client is a leading automotive distributor in Myanmar, focusing on vehicle sales including electric vehicles and actively promoting their products through social media and local auto shows
The Role
This role oversees advanced accounting operations, financial analysis, and regulatory compliance across vehicle import, distribution, and sales activities. You will support the Chief Accountant and finance leadership in maintaining strong financial governance and improving the accounting system and processes
Description
- Assist the Chief Accountant in overseeing daily accounting operations and ensuring accurate financial records
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards and company policies
- Supervise general ledger activities, journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
- Monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed asset accounting.
- Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing processes
- Managing cash flow, bank reconciliations, and treasury activities
- Coordinate with external auditors, internal auditors, and tax consultants during audits and reviews
- Provide guidance, supervision, and training for accounting staff
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; ACCA, or equivalent qualifications preferred
- Minimum 6–7 years of professional accounting experience, including at least 3 years in supervisory or senior-level roles within automotive distribution, vehicle import/export, or related industries
- Strong technical knowledge of Myanmar Accounting Standards, tax regulations, and reporting requirements, especially those relevant to import and
- automotive sectors
- Proficient in accounting systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage cross-functional coordination
Excellent communication skills in both Burmese and English for reporting and stakeholder engagement
