Lead and manage the tax function, ensuring compliance with Myanmar tax regulations while providing strategic tax planning, advisory support, and risk management to support the company’s business operations and financial objectives.

Description

• Lead and oversee all tax-related matters, ensuring compliance with applicable Myanmar tax laws and regulations
• Manage corporate income tax, commercial tax, withholding tax, personal income tax, and other relevant tax obligations
• Prepare and review tax computations, tax returns, filings, and supporting documentation
• Ensure timely and accurate submission of tax returns and payments to the relevant authorities
• Monitor changes in Myanmar tax legislation and assess their impact on the company’s business operations
• Provide tax advice to management and other departments on business transactions, contracts, and operational activities
• Develop and implement effective tax planning strategies while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations
• Manage tax audits, inspections, assessments, and correspondence with tax authorities
• Identify potential tax risks and recommend appropriate measures to minimize exposure
• Coordinate with external tax advisors, auditors, and relevant government authorities as required
• Ensure proper tax accounting and reconciliation of tax-related accounts
• Prepare regular tax reports and provide updates to senior management on tax matters, risks, and opportunities
• Lead and develop the tax team, ensuring strong technical capability, accuracy, and timely delivery

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, LCCI, or equivalent is highly preferred
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant tax experience, including at least 2–3 years in a managerial or supervisory role
• Strong experience in taxation, preferably within a multinational FMCG or consumer goods environment
• Good knowledge of Myanmar tax regulations and compliance requirements
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across functions
• Proficiency in English and strong communication skills
