The Role

Lead and manage the company’s accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial records, timely financial reporting, effective cash flow monitoring, and compliance with applicable accounting standards and tax regulations. Work closely with senior management to provide financial insights, strengthen internal controls, and support business operations.

Description

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate recording of financial transactions and proper maintenance of accounting records
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports
• Manage general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and month-end and year-end closing activities
• Ensure timely preparation and submission of tax returns and statutory reports in accordance with applicable Myanmar regulations
• Review financial transactions, invoices, payment requests, and supporting documents to ensure compliance with company policies
• Supervise and guide the accounting team, ensuring accurate reporting and timely completion of accounting activities
• Coordinate with sales, purchasing, warehouse, and other departments to ensure proper financial and inventory records

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Professional accounting qualifications such as ACCA or other relevant certifications are preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience, including experience in a senior accountant or supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
• Good understanding of Myanmar tax regulations, statutory reporting, and accounting compliance requirements
• Experience in trading, distribution, wholesale, or import and export businesses is preferred
• Good knowledge of inventory accounting, stock reconciliation, cost control, and gross profit analysis
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software or ERP systems
