• Involves providing accurate and timely translation and interpretation services between Chinese (Mandarin), Burmese, and English to facilitate smooth communication within the company and with Chinese-speaking clients or partners
• Salary is up to 2,000,000 MMK plus other allowances

Description

• Provide translation and interpretation services between Chinese (Mandarin) and Burmese (Myanmar) and/or English for the DGM and related departments
• Translate business documents, contracts, technical specifications, and daily communications accurately and efficiently
• Assist in communication with Chinese-speaking clients, suppliers, and partners to facilitate smooth business operations
• Support meetings, negotiations, and site visits by providing consecutive or simultaneous interpretation
• Proofread, edit, and ensure the quality and clarity of translated documents
• Coordinate with various departments to ensure timely delivery of translated materials
• Handle confidential information with discretion
• Work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Use computer tools (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel) and Chinese typing software (Pinyin or Zhuyin) proficiently

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chinese Language, Translation, Linguistics, or related fields preferred. Professional HR certifications are an advantage
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience as a Chinese translator or interpreter, preferably in manufacturing, textile, garment, or related industries
• Proficient in all four Chinese language skills (listening, speaking, reading, writing)
• Intermediate to advanced English and Burmese language skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
• Detail-oriented with good proofreading and editing skills
• Team player with good coordination skills
