The Role

Great Opportunity for an experienced Actuarial Manager to join an international life insurance company in Myanmar. The role will play a key part in supporting actuarial functions including product pricing, reserving, financial reporting, profitability analysis, and regulatory requirements

Description

• Lead actuarial valuation processes, including calculation of technical reserves and liability assessments
• Perform pricing analysis and profitability studies for new and existing insurance products
• Develop and maintain actuarial models to support business planning and forecasting
• Conduct experience analysis, assumption reviews, and portfolio performance monitoring
• Prepare actuarial reports and provide insights to support management decision-making
• Support regulatory reporting requirements and ensure compliance with local insurance regulations
•  Collaborate with Finance, Risk, Product, and Business teams on actuarial-related matters
• Identify opportunities to improve actuarial processes, modelling approaches, and data analysis capabilities

Requirements

• At least 5 years of working experience in actuarial management in which 3 years with Managerial experience would be a value in Life Insurance sectors
• Extensive knowledge of implementation in IFRS 17 would be a plus and Progress toward actuarial qualifications (SOA, IFoA, or equivalent) is preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in actuarial sciences, Mathematics, Statistics, or other related education background
•  Must have a demonstrate strong analytical, knowledgeable of actuarial principles and practices 
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office computer programs including Excel and Word
• Burmese Nationality with excellent written and oral communication skills in English
