Merchandising Executive at a Market Leading Retailer in Yangon, Myanmar

• Support sourcing, supplier management, and daily operations for the packing house
• Up to 1,500,000 MMK + Allowances

The Role

An excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in purchasing, product quality control, and supplier negotiation. You’ll help manage product flow and inventory for an expanding retail operation

The Role

• Systematically purchase raw goods and supplies for the packing house
• Select products, negotiate prices, and manage supplier relationships
• Monitor product quality and control costs
• Oversee inventory, timelines, and safety in operations
• Coach team members and ensure compliance with workplace safety standards
• Respond to customer inquiries and handle complaints professionally
• Maintain accurate records of transactions, stock levels, and financials
• Prepare departmental KPIs and monthly reports for the Head of Department
• Present progress updates and challenges to senior management

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field
• At least 2 years’ experience in merchandising or procurement
• Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Email)
• Fluent in English with excellent communication skills
• Team player with leadership qualities and coaching skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and present clear progress updates
