Production Manager at a Well Known Automotive Brand in Yangon

  • Lead automotive production operations, assembly performance, and continuous improvement initiatives within a fast-growing manufacturing environment

The Role

This role is responsible for managing overall production operations within the automotive assembly plant, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and operational efficiency are achieved. You will oversee manpower planning, production scheduling, and continuous improvement initiatives while supporting the development of manufacturing capabilities and operational excellence

Description

  • Lead and manage automotive assembly and SKD manufacturing production operations
  • Coordinate closely with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure timely availability of production materials and components
  • Monitor production performance, KPIs, SOP compliance, and operational efficiency across manufacturing lines
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, safety, and cost optimization
  • Supervise and develop production supervisors, operators, and manufacturing teams
  • Manage workforce planning, shift scheduling, overtime control, and labor allocation to optimize production costs
  • Support implementation of training and skill development programs for production teams and operators
  • Ensure 5S standards, workplace safety, and operational discipline are maintained across the factory
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments to support smooth production flow and operational coordination
  • Prepare operational reports and provide production insights to senior management for business planning and performance improvement

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive manufacturing operations
  • At least 3 years of experience in a managerial or production leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of automotive assembly processes and manufacturing operations
  • Experience managing production KPIs, manpower planning, and operational performance
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Good analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Intermediate level English communication skills, both spoken and written
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
