The Role
The Factory Manager will be responsible for production performance, plant maintenance, product quality, production inputs, inventory coordination, people management, and regulatory compliance

Our client operates a major cement manufacturing facility in Myanmar, supporting large-scale construction and infrastructure demand. The organization is focused on reliable production, operational efficiency, product quality, and maintaining strong standards across its manufacturing operations
Description
- Plan, control, and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly cement production activities
- Manage the consumption and availability of key production inputs including limestone, gypsum, additives, coal/fuel, electricity, and other materials
- Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs across the plant
- Ensure reliable operation and timely maintenance of kilns, crushers, mills, conveyors, packing machines, electrical systems, mechanical equipment, and other plant facilities
- Monitor production performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce operational losses
- Work closely with the Quality Control and Laboratory teams to maintain raw material, clinker, and finished cement quality
- Ensure appropriate testing, sampling, and quality control procedures are consistently followed
- Coordinate with Procurement, Warehouse, and Logistics teams to maintain sufficient production and packaging materials
- Manage factory manpower and lead teams across production and supporting functions
- Promote discipline, teamwork, accountability, and effective communication throughout the factory
- Ensure factory operations comply with company policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements
- Liaise with relevant government departments and regulatory authorities regarding factory operations, permits, licenses, inspections, and compliance matters
- Ensure environmental approvals, operational licenses, permits, and required documentation are properly maintained and renewed
- Coordinate with Logistics, Warehouse, and Sales teams to ensure smooth and timely cement dispatch
- Drive overall factory performance while maintaining appropriate standards for quality, operational reliability, and compliance
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field
- Master’s degree or relevant professional qualification is an advantage
- Minimum 8–12 years of relevant experience in cement manufacturing, heavy industry, mining, power plants, or similar manufacturing environments
- At least 3–5 years of senior management experience overseeing factory or plant operations
- Strong understanding of cement manufacturing processes, plant equipment, and production operations
- Strong leadership and people management capabilities
- Good understanding of production planning, maintenance, quality control, and operational resource management
- Ability to coordinate effectively across production, maintenance, procurement, warehouse, logistics, quality, and other functions
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
