- Build the supply chain, procurement, logistics, warehousing, and material planning function from the ground up for a major greenfield manufacturing project
- Up to 4,500,000 MMK with other allowances
The Role
This is a unique opportunity for a hands-on Supply Chain Manager to join a new greenfield manufacturing project from its early development stage. You will initially act as the strategic lead responsible for establishing procurement and material planning systems, supporting CapEx and machinery sourcing, and developing supply chain infrastructure. As the facility moves toward commissioning and commercial production, the role will transition into full operational leadership, including inventory, logistics, procurement execution, and the development of the supply chain team

Description
- Establish the overall supply chain strategy and operating framework for a new manufacturing facility
- Develop procurement policies, supplier evaluation processes, and material planning workflows suitable for a high-volume manufacturing environment
- Work closely with the PMO and engineering teams to source and evaluate specialized production, packing, and wrapping machinery
- Support commercial negotiations and contracting for long-lead CapEx equipment and manufacturing assets
- Develop reliable local and international supply sources for key raw materials and packaging components
- Establish material planning processes covering demand, lead times, inventory requirements, and supply continuity
- Develop the warehouse and logistics operating model, including material flows, staging, transportation, and applicable bonded/non-bonded segregation
- Coordinate procurement and logistics requirements for factory trial runs, including initial material purchases and sampling requirements
- Ensure supply chain activities comply with relevant import regulations, duties, and manufacturing-related regulatory requirements
- Prepare the procurement and inventory systems required for the transition from project development into commercial operations
- Oversee initial purchasing cycles, inventory control, logistics, and supply execution as production begins
- Build and lead the operational supply chain and procurement team, including recruitment, training, coaching, and performance management
- Establish practical systems and processes that can support efficient long-term plant operations
Requirements
- 8–10 years of experience in supply chain and procurement
- Specific experience in tobacco/cigarette manufacturing or high-speed FMCG manufacturing is required
- Proven experience setting up supply chain systems, warehouse operations, or procurement processes for a new manufacturing plant/greenfield project
- Strong understanding of procurement, logistics, inventory management, material planning, and supplier development
- Experience supporting CapEx procurement and sourcing complex manufacturing machinery is highly relevant
- Familiarity with BOM management, MRO spare parts, lead-time planning, safety stock, and material planning calculations
- Strong commercial and supplier negotiation capabilities
- International or overseas manufacturing experience is a strong advantage
- Strong ability to work hands-on in a developing operation and build systems from the ground up
- Full professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is essential
