Supply Chain Manager at a Leading Local Conglomerate in Yangon, Myanmar

  • Oversee and optimize the full supply chain cycle from procurement to distribution for a fast-growing local group

The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced supply chain professional to take on a leadership role in a large and diversified business group. You will be responsible for shaping strategies, driving efficiency, and ensuring smooth logistics operations across the company

Our client is a well-established local conglomerate with diverse business units, including manufacturing, trading and retail – with a strong presence in Myanmar. They are focused on growth, efficiency, and operational excellence

The Role

  • Design and implement supply chain strategies aligned with organizational goals

  • Forecast demand and manage stock levels using market and sales data

  • Oversee inventory control to reduce wastage and optimize turnover

  • Manage logistics operations including transportation, warehousing, and distribution

  • Build strong relationships with third-party logistics providers and partners to ensure cost-effective delivery

  • Monitor KPIs and initiate process improvements for efficiency and cost reduction

  • Implement risk management plans to prevent supply chain disruptions

  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry standards, and regulations

  • Lead and mentor the supply chain team, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field

  • 7–10 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, and planning, including managerial roles

  • Strong business process evaluation and improvement skills

  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation abilities

  • Proficient in problem-solving, data-driven decision-making, and project execution

  • High integrity and strong ethical standards in supplier and procurement dealings

  • Proficiency in English; Chinese language skills are a plus
