Description
- Develop and execute annual and long-term sales strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets across fertilizer and Agri-input product lines.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to continuously refine business strategies.
- Plan and manage sales forecasts, pricing strategies, and incentive programs to maximize commercial performance.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing nationwide sales team, including regional managers and field personnel.
- Set KPIs and performance targets, ensuring effective tracking, coaching, and continuous improvement.
- Expand and manage relationships with distributors, dealers, and key institutional customers to strengthen market penetration.
- Drive dealer engagement programs to enhance loyalty, productivity, and overall network effectiveness.
- Ensure strong presence across traditional and emerging agricultural markets.
- Collaborate with R&D and product teams to align product offerings with crop cycles, soil conditions, and regional needs.
- Provide market intelligence to support product development and portfolio optimization.
- Support farmer education initiatives and field demonstrations in collaboration with technical teams.
- Work closely with supply chain, production, finance, and marketing teams to ensure smooth execution of operations.
- Prepare business reviews, sales dashboards, and performance reports for senior leadership.
- Manage team motivation, retention, succession planning, and performance appraisals.
- Promote disciplined reporting standards and ensure adherence to ethical sales practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in agriculture (B.Ag) or Diploma in Agriculture.
- Strong knowledge of sales and marketing within the agribusiness or Agri-input sector.
- Proven leadership experience managing national or regional sales teams.
- Strategic mindset with strong analytical and commercial decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and team leadership skills.
- Ability to drive growth in competitive and evolving market conditions.
