Senior Accountant at Well-known Manufacturing Company in Yangon (Testing)

• Manage the full-cycle accounting process and maintain robust financial records

• Up to 700,000 MMK plus other allowances

The Role

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, have a strong foundation in GAAP, and possess the analytical skills necessary to ensure the financial health of manufacturing operations

Description

• Manage the general ledger (GL), ensuring all journal entries, accruals, and prepayments are recorded accurately and on a timely basis
• Oversee the accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions, including vendor invoice processing, customer collections, and bank reconciliations
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including the Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Cash Flow Statement
• Assist with the month-end and year-end closing processes, adhering to strict accounting deadlines and compliance standards
• Conduct detailed variance analysis of actual versus budgeted costs, specifically focusing on Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) and production overheads
• Support internal and external financial audits by compiling required documentation and responding to auditor inquiries
• Reporting line: Report to the Finance Manager

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a General Accountant or Financial Accountant, with a preference for a background in the Manufacturing or production sector
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a recognized professional accounting qualification (e.g., LCCI Level 3, CPA, ACCA foundation)
• Fluency in both English and the local language
• Strong technical skills including proficiency in a major ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and reporting
