Description
- Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities for all factory machinery and utilities
- Ensure maintenance works are completed on schedule and aligned with the production plan
- Implement and comply with company policies, procedures, and checklists related to mechanical and electrical maintenance
- Reduce machinery downtime through proactive maintenance and root-cause analysis
- Manage spare parts planning, stock availability, and advance purchasing to avoid disruptions
- Supervise, coach, and train maintenance team members to improve skills and performance
- Enforce workplace safety standards and provide safety awareness training to staff and third-party contractors
- Assign duties, monitor task completion, and conduct performance evaluations for team members
- Prepare departmental budgets, cost estimates, and maintenance plans for new projects or renovations
- Coordinate closely with Production, HR, and other departments to support operational efficiency
- Maintain maintenance records, machinery checklists, and compliance documentation
- Report maintenance performance, costs, incidents, and improvement initiatives to management
- Support audits, certifications (ISO, FSSC), and customer complaint investigations as required
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in factory maintenance, preferably within food or FMCG manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, preventive maintenance, and safety practices
- Experience managing maintenance teams and coordinating cross-functional activities
- Familiarity with ISO, FSSC, and equipment calibration requirements is an advantage
- Good planning, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently while reporting clearly to management
- Good attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines
