Financial Accounting Manager (6 Months Contract) at an International Manufacturing Company in Yangon, Myanmar

This role plays a vital role in maintaining an organization's financial health, supporting compliance, and enabling informed financial decisions through accurate reporting and analysis

Description
Managing general accounting functions, including accounts payable, receivable, cash receipts, payroll, and balance sheet reconciliations
Preparing, analysing, and delivering financial statements such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports
Implementing and overseeing internal controls and ensuring compliance with accounting principles (e.g., GAAP, IFRS)
Coordinating budget preparation, financial forecasting, and analysis
Managing audits and liaising with internal and external auditors
Leading, training, and supervising accounting staff
Overseeing financial transactions and ensuring proper revenue and expense recognition
Developing and implementing systems to improve the accuracy and accessibility of financial information
Serving as a key contact for financial inquiries related to invoicing, bill payments, cash receipts, and budgets
Supporting strategic organizational financial decisions with accurate financial data and reports
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (advanced degrees or certifications such as ACCA or CPA are preferred)
Proven experience as an Accounting Manager, Financial Manager, or similar role (typically 5+ years in senior role)
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, IFRS, and reporting standards
Proficiency in accounting software, SAP systems, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Excellent leadership and team management skills
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills
Ability to handle large volumes of data and ensure accuracy
Good communication skills for coordinating with management, auditors, and staff
Experience in budget management, financial forecasting, and audit coordination
