Chief Accountant at a Leading Asian Conglomerate Company in Yangon, Myanmar

• Lead the consolidation of financial data across subsidiaries, ensuring compliance with accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS) and delivering actionable insights to support strategic decision-making

Description

• Assist in developing and monitoring budgets, forecasts, and financial strategies to align with organizational goals
• Prepare and analyse financial statements, reports, and metrics to provide insights into the company's financial performance
• Ensure adherence to local regulations, tax laws, and corporate governance standards in all financial transactions
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, capital expenditures, and cash flow optimization
• Implement policies and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting
• Provide financial insights to senior management to aid in strategic decision-making

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA or ACCA certification preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance or accounting roles, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, ERP) and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Strong understanding of Myanmar tax laws and financial regulations
• Fluency in English and Burmese (spoken and written)
