• Lead the finance, accounting, and related operations of the school, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local regulations and international standards
• Up to 5,000,000 MMK plus other allowances

The Role
This role requires to prepare, consolidate, and review annual budgets, forecasts, and periodic financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statements)

Description

• Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making by senior management and the Board of Directors
• Monitor and manage cash flow, optimize fund allocation, and oversee treasury operations including banking relationships and foreign exchange transactions
• Ensure timely delivery of financial reports and analytical reviews highlighting trends and variances
• Manage tax planning, compliance, and statutory audit processes, liaising with tax authorities and auditors
• Develop, implement, and uphold financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure regulatory compliance
• Lead and mentor the finance team to ensure high performance and professional growth
• Manage risk through regular audits and implement effective risk management systems
• Oversee payroll, revenue reporting, commercial tax filings, and overseas payment transfers

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field
• Professional certification such as CPA or ACCA is highly desirable
• Minimum 5 years of management-level experience in financial accounting or related areas, preferably with experience in an international school or educational institution
• Proven track record in financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
• Strong knowledge of Myanmar accounting and auditing standards, tax laws, and financial regulations
