Senior Accountant at a Well-known Education Centre in Yangon, Myanmar

• Managing the full set of accounting management and yearly financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Up to 700,000 MMK plus other allowances

This role requires to conducting the day to day accounting operation and preparing the financial preparation

Description

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management
• Prepare full sets of accounts, including General Ledger (GL), bank reconciliations, and inventory control as needed
• Oversee and support the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial reports
• Handle all taxation matters, including computation, filing, and liaison with tax authorities
• Assist with both internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations (such as IFRS)
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (B. Com, CPA, ACCA Part 2 or higher preferred)
• Minimum 2 - 3 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally in an education, service, or medium-to-large organization
• Strong understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local accounting regulations
• Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SQL) and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Willingness to take on additional responsibilities and support management as needed
