The Role
This role is ideal for a commercially minded professional with strong experience in private label or retail merchandising You will take ownership of private label strategy from concept to shelf, working closely with suppliers and internal teams to grow market share, improve margins, and strengthen brand presence

Description
- Own and manage the end-to-end private label product portfolio, from concept development to in-store execution
- Identify new product opportunities through market research, competitor benchmarking, and customer insights
- Collaborate with local and international suppliers to source, develop, and launch private label products
- Oversee product lifecycle management including pricing, packaging, compliance, and discontinuation decisions
- Analyze sales performance, margins, and trends, providing regular reports and recommendations to management
- Partner closely with category management, marketing, supply chain, QA, finance, and operations teams to ensure aligned execution
- Act as the internal champion for private label brands, supporting store teams to drive visibility and sales growth
- Support negotiations with suppliers to improve cost structures, quality, and delivery performance
- Ensure private label products meet regulatory, quality, and internal brand standards
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in private label, retail merchandising, or supermarket head office environments
- Strong understanding of product sourcing, packaging, compliance, and retail execution
- Experience working with both domestic and international suppliers
- Solid analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends
- Strong project management and stakeholder coordination abilities
- Confident communicator with good presentation and reporting skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Good command of English (written and spoken)
