The Role
This role is responsible for managing overall factory operations within an electric vehicle manufacturing environment. The Factory Manager will lead production performance, operational strategy, workforce development, and continuous improvement initiatives to achieve excellence in safety, quality, delivery, and cost

Description
- Oversee end-to-end factory operations, including production, engineering, quality, maintenance, and manufacturing support functions
- Develop and execute manufacturing strategies to achieve production targets, quality objectives, and business goals
- Lead daily plant operations and ensure efficient utilization of manpower, equipment, and resources
- Drive Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, and operational excellence programs across the factory
- Monitor key manufacturing KPIs including productivity, yield, quality, delivery performance, safety, and cost efficiency
- Establish and improve manufacturing processes, SOPs, and production control systems
- Lead factory expansion, process improvement, and industrialization projects
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to improve product reliability and manufacturing capability
- Develop and implement cost optimization initiatives while maintaining quality and production standards
- Build, coach, and manage large production teams to achieve operational excellence
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental requirements, and quality management systems
- Support implementation of Industry 4.0 initiatives, automation, and digital manufacturing solutions
- Provide strategic recommendations to senior management regarding factory performance and improvement opportunities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 10 years of experience in manufacturing operations, with significant experience in automotive, EV, or advanced manufacturing industries
- Proven experience managing factory or plant-level operations with large production teams
- Strong technical understanding of manufacturing processes, production systems, and engineering principles
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Six Sigma, TPM, and continuous improvement methodologies
- Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems, manufacturing standards, and operational controls
- Experience implementing productivity improvement, cost reduction, and process optimization initiatives
- Familiarity with automation, smart manufacturing, and Industry 4.0 technologies is preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth manufacturing environment
