​Deputy Head of Legal and Compliance at one of the Financial Services Companies in Yangon, Myanmar Assist the Head of Legal and Compliance in managing and overseeing all legal, regulatory, and compliance-related matters of the company Up to 7,000,000 MMK plus other allowances The Role This role requires to ensure the company conducts its business in full compliance with applicable laws and regulations of Myanmar About the Company Our client company plays a crucial role in Myanmar’s financial sector, providing financial services to support economic growth in Yangon Description Handle legal functions including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and legal documents Oversee compliance functions such as monitoring regulatory changes, managing internal compliance programs, and advising management on risks and regulatory matters Manage relationships and coordinate with external legal counsels, regulatory bodies like the Central Bank and Tax Authority, and government agencies Support corporate governance and internal policy development to ensure legal compliance Provide training and guidance on legal and compliance matters to internal stakeholders Lead and coordinate the legal and compliance team and related projects Requirements A bachelor’s degree in law (LL. B), with preference for advanced degrees like Master of Laws (LL.M.)
