Description
- Develop and execute procurement strategies for export commodities
- Identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers, producers, farmers, and traders
- Analyze commodity value chains, production cycles, pricing structures, and quality parameters
- Negotiate contracts and pricing to ensure competitive and reliable supply
- Ensure compliance with export quality standards and regulatory requirements
- Work closely with QC teams, inspectors, and certification bodies
- Conduct market research and provide insights into global and regional commodity trends
- Coordinate with logistics teams for timely movement and export readiness
- Manage procurement budgets and drive cost optimization
- Lead and build a high-performing procurement team across sourcing regions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
- Minimum 8–12+ years of experience in commodity procurement or export supply chain
- Demonstrated success in large-scale commodity sourcing
- Strong network within Myanmar’s agricultural and commodity sectors
- Excellent negotiation, contract management, and stakeholder relationship skills
- Strong leadership and communication capabilities
