This role requires strategic thinking, supplier relationship management, and execution of procurement plans to ensure competitive and reliable supply for global markets

Description

• Develop and execute procurement strategies for export commodities
• Identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers, producers, farmers, and traders
• Analyze commodity value chains, production cycles, pricing structures, and quality parameters
• Negotiate contracts and pricing to ensure competitive and reliable supply
• Ensure compliance with export quality standards and regulatory requirements
• Work closely with QC teams, inspectors, and certification bodies
• Conduct market research and provide insights into global and regional commodity trends
• Coordinate with logistics teams for timely movement and export readiness
• Manage procurement budgets and drive cost optimization
• Lead and build a high-performing procurement team across sourcing regions

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
• Minimum 8–12+ years of experience in commodity procurement or export supply chain
• Demonstrated success in large-scale commodity sourcing
• Strong network within Myanmar’s agricultural and commodity sectors
• Excellent negotiation, contract management, and stakeholder relationship skills
• Strong leadership and communication capabilities
