Job Description

Sales Manager (Import CIF) in Myanmar

  • Responsible for driving freight forwarding sales growth, managing key accounts, and developing new CIF import business across air and ocean freight.
  • Negotiable

The Role

The Sales – Freight Forwarding professional will be responsible for generating new business, managing customer relationships, and expanding import-focused CIF trade in Myanmar. This role requires strong commercial acumen, market knowledge, and the ability to work cross-functionally to deliver sustainable revenue growth.

Job Description

  • Identify potential trade lanes and onboard new customers with a strong focus on import CIF business
  • Drive sales growth across air and ocean freight forwarding services
  • Manage and develop long-term customer relationships and key accounts
  • Lead negotiations, pricing, tenders, and RFQs to secure new and repeat business
  • Work closely with operations and cross-functional teams to implement customer logistics plans
  • Manage route and market development for assigned sectors and trade lanes
  • Achieve sales targets and contributing to overall country business objectives
  • Monitor market opportunities and propose value-added logistics solutions
  • Ensure compliance with customer SOPs, company policies, and internal processes
  • Support business reviews, account receivable management, and reporting activities

Requirements

  • 3+ years’ experience in freight forwarding sales, with strong exposure to import CIF shipments
  • Solid knowledge of air and ocean freight trade across multiple industry sectors
  • Strong commercial mindset with the ability to identify customer pain points and opportunities
  • Experience in tender and RFQ management
  • Fluent in local language with strong local market connections in Myanmar
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
