Description
- Engage customers through sales calls, emails, and regular sales visits; maintain accurate visit reports and activity tracking in Salesforce
- Support pricing negotiations, prepare and confirm quotations, and manage booking-related activities in coordination with internal teams
- Coordinate Rate Filing Agreement (RFA) requests, approvals, and system filings using OPUS and Tiger
- Liaise with Trade, Customer Service & Vessel Control (CSVC), Credit & Accounting (C/A), CASO, and offshore teams to resolve pricing, booking, and rating issues efficiently
- Promote e-commerce services, including online booking platforms, Salesforce utilization, and other digital sales tools
- Monitor space utilization and support booking release and allocation processes to optimize vessel fill
- Handle special operational and commercial cases such as long-stay containers, re-export or re-shipment cargo, audits, disputes, and cargo abandonment
- Ensure compliance with company SOPs and proactively prevent dummy or non-compliant bookings prior to vessel departure
- Share market intelligence, competitor movements, and pricing insights to support sales strategies and overall team performance
- Prepare reports, analyses, and presentations for management review, including updates to relevant Trade management at RHQ/GHQ level
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Logistics, Sales, or a related field (preferred)
- Experience in sales operations, pricing, or commercial roles; shipping or logistics industry experience is an advantage
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce, OPUS, Tiger, Looker, or similar commercial and reporting systems is preferred
- Strong communication, negotiation, and cross-functional coordination skills
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and well-organized with strong problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
