HR Manager at a Petroleum Company in Yangon, Myanmar.

  • Oversees the human resources functions within an organization, coordinating recruitment, employee relations, training, benefits administration, and ensuring compliance with Labor laws and company policies
  • Up to 2,500,000 MMK + other allowances

The Role

The role involves overseeing the recruitment process, employee relations, performance management, training & development, compensation & benefits, and ensuring legal compliance with labor laws and company policies.

Our client is a leading petroleum company engaged in the exploration, refining, distribution, and marketing of petroleum products.

Description

  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company’s business objectives
  • Oversee end-to-end recruitment processes, including workforce planning, sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding
  • Design and manage compensation, benefits, and performance appraisal systems tailored to the petroleum sector
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, health & safety regulations, and industry-specific HR standards
  • Facilitate training, leadership development, and succession planning programs
  • Act as a strategic partner to management in organization development and change initiatives
  • Handle employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary procedures in a fair and effective manner
  • Manage HR systems and databases to ensure data accuracy and confidentiality
  • Coordinate with departmental heads on manpower planning

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 5–10 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial role
  • Prior experience in oil & gas, energy, or industrial/manufacturing sectors is highly desirable
  • Proven experience in HR roles, with strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
