The Role

This role is responsible for legal risk management, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, litigation, and contracts while supporting business objectives and protecting the company’s legal interests

Description

• Develop and lead the company’s legal strategy to ensure compliance and reduce legal risks
• Provide expert legal advice to the CEO, executive management, and board of directors on business initiatives, contracts, risks, and regulatory matters
• Oversee all legal affairs including litigation, corporate governance, labor law, commercial transactions, mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property, and data privacy
• Manage external legal counsel and legal budgets
• Ensure the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements in local and international markets
• Lead and develop the internal legal team, promoting high standards of legal practice
• Monitor changes in relevant laws and regulations and assess their impact on the business
• Draft, review, and negotiate high-level contracts and agreements
• Collaborate closely with compliance, risk management, and internal audit departments

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in law (LLB) required; Master’s degree (LLM) preferred
• Minimum 15 years of legal experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
• Experience in the telecommunications, technology, or regulated industry strongly preferred
• Proven experience in managing complex legal and regulatory matters across multiple jurisdictions
• Strong leadership, team management, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Excellent knowledge of corporate, commercial, and regulatory law
• High ethical standards and sound judgment
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Ability to balance legal risk with business needs in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in English (required)
