Chief Accountant at a Leading Food and Beverage Company in Yangon, Myanmar

• Overseeing all accounting operations within an organization
• Up to 2,500,000 MMK plus attractive bonus

Our client is expanded to multiple branches across Myanmar, including Yangon, and provide quality standards to maintain freshness and consumer trust

The Role

This role manages the accounting team, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, developing and implementing accounting policies, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards and legal regulations

Descriptions

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, AP/AR, inventory, and fixed assets
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in a timely manner
• Monitor and manage cash flow, budgets, and financial forecasting
• Ensure compliance with Myanmar tax laws and timely submission of tax filings (VAT, CIT, WHT, etc.)
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors for audits and financial reviews
• Implement and maintain effective internal control systems
• Supervise and guide junior accountants and finance staff
• Liaise with banks, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies as needed
• Prepare and submit financial reports to management for decision-making

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) preferred
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial software
• Leadership and team management skills
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in financial reporting
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
