• Involves managing and maintaining the company's general ledger, which is the central record of all financial transactions

• Up to 700,000 MMK + other attractive allowances

The role plays a vital role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and regulatory compliance of an organization’s financial data, supporting reporting activities

Description

• Preparing and managing general ledger entries such as accruals, deferrals, depreciation, and interdepartmental transactions

• Supporting the monthly and annual close processes by preparing journal entries and account analysis

• Maintain and reconcile the General Ledger (GL), ensuring accuracy and making necessary adjustments

• Execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes according to schedule

• Perform bank reconciliations and verify financial transactions

• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in the preparation of tax filings

• Collaborate with internal and external auditors, providing necessary documentation and support during audits

• Utilize accounting software proficiently to ensure accurate and up-to-date data entry and record-keeping

• Collaborating with various departments (e.g., sales, legal) to gather and analyse financial data and address accounting queries

• Take responsibility for daily, monthly, and annual accounting and financial operations

• Assist in preparing accurate financial reports, statements, budget and summaries in a timely manner (e.g., Balance Sheet, Income Statement)

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field

• Typically, 2-3+ years of experience in general ledger accounting or similar accounting roles

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, especially Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally. ERP 9, NetSuite) and Microsoft Office tools

• Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Team player with the ability to work independently and collaboratively

• Experience supporting audits and tax filings is highly valuable
