Our client is a leading automotive distributor in Myanmar, focusing on vehicle sales and actively promoting their products through social media and local auto shows

The Role

This role supports daily accounting operations and financial reporting activities. The role focuses on accurate record-keeping, month-end closing, reconciliations, and compliance, while assisting the Chief Accountant and guiding junior staff as needed

Description

• Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documents
• Prepare journal entries, ledgers, and monthly reconciliations
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities
• Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, and basic payroll support
• Prepare bank reconciliations and assist in cash flow monitoring
• Support preparation of financial reports and schedules
• Assist in budgeting and basic variance analysis
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures
• Assist during internal and external audits by preparing required documents
• Support tax filing and statutory reporting under supervision
• Help improve accounting processes and documentation
• Guide and support junior accounting staff when required
• Perform other accounting duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications such as LCCI or ACCA are highly preferred
• Minimum 4 years of accounting experience
• Strong technical knowledge of Myanmar accounting standards, tax regulations, and reporting requirements
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical, communication, and coordination abilities, capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and external auditors
