The Role

Lead and manage the accounting function by ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting business operations through effective financial management.

Description

• Oversee the full spectrum of accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with Myanmar Accounting Standards and company policies
• Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing processes while maintaining the accuracy of financial records
• Manage tax compliance, including commercial tax, corporate income tax, and other statutory requirements
• Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and financial transactions to support business operations
• Supervise and develop the accounting team to improve productivity and ensure high performance
• Coordinate with auditors, tax authorities, and other external stakeholders during audits and regulatory reviews
• Recommend and implement process improvements to strengthen internal controls and enhance accounting efficiency

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, ACCA, or other professional accounting qualifications are preferred
• Minimum 7 years of accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory position within the manufacturing industry
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, taxation, and accounting regulations in Myanmar
• Proficient in ERP systems, accounting software, and Microsoft Excel
• Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
• Good communication skills in both English and Burmese
